半導體研究學院學位考試均為實體口試。
All degree examinations (oral defenses) at CoSR must be held in-person.

最後離校期限：次學期開學註冊日前，請同學務必要在期限內完成所有手續並至註冊組領取畢業證書，才算完成離校手續，否則該次口試成績將視為無效，需重新提出口試申請。
Final School-Leaving Deadline: You must complete all school-leaving procedures and collect your diploma from the Division of Registration before the registration day of the following semester. If you fail to complete this on time, your oral exam result will be considered invalid, and you will have to reapply for the exam.

「8月1日至次學期開學前」或「2月1日至次學期開學前」欲舉行學位考試者，請先至註冊組網頁各項表單下載提前註冊申請表，依序完成提前註冊手續。
If you plan to hold your degree exam during the summer or winter breaks (specifically, "August 1st to the start of the Fall semester" or "February 1st to the start of the Spring semester"), you must first download the Early Registration Application Form from the Division of Registration's website and complete the early registration process.

若口試後將出國交換，請先至註冊組網頁各項表單下載延後畢業申請表辦理。
If you are going on an exchange program after your oral defense, you must download and submit the Deferred Graduation Application Form from the Division of Registration.

(碩)考試委員 3 人至 5 人，指導教授為當然委員，但不得為主持人，主持人由出席委員互推舉之；指導教授(含共同指導教授)以外之考試委員人數應達二分之一(含)以上，且考試委員中應至少有 1 人為校外委員。
(Maser) Total member should be 3 to 5 members. Your advisor is a mandatory member but cannot serve as the committee chair. The chair is elected by the attending members. Members who are not your advisor/co-advisor must make up at least half (1/2) of the committee. There must be at least 1 external member (from outside NTHU).

(博)考試委員 5 人至 9 人，指導教授為當然委員，但不得為主持人，主持人由出席委員互推舉之；指導教授(含共同指導教授)以外之校外考試委員人數應達三分之一(含)以上。
(Doctoral) Total member should be 5 to 9 members. Your advisor is a mandatory member but cannot serve as the committee chair. The chair is elected by the attending members. External members who are not your advisor must make up at least one-third (1/3) of the committee.

如欲聘請非教職之校內外學者專家擔任考試委員，請先向院辦公室確認是否須提送學院會議進行資格審查。倘過往曾於本院擔任過學位考試委員者，可毋須再審。建議學生於確認委員資格後，再行約定口試日期與時間，以免因審查時程影響口試安排與畢業進度。
If you wish to invite industry experts or scholars who do not hold a formal teaching position to be on your committee. You must first check with the College Office to see if their qualifications need to be reviewed by the College Meeting. If the expert has previously served as a degree exam committee member for CoSR, they do not need to be reviewed again. Please confirm your committee members' qualifications with the office before finalizing the date and time of your defense. This ensures the review process does not delay your exam or graduation.

倘有學位考試爭議或違反學術倫理情事等，將依「國立清華大學半導體研究學院學術委員會設置要點」、「國立清華大學博、碩士學位論文違反學術倫理案件處理要點」相關規定辦理。
Any disputes regarding the degree examination or violations of academic ethics will be handled strictly according to "The Establishment Guidelines of the Academic Committee of the College of Semiconductor Research, NTHU" and "NTHU's Guidelines for Handling Academic Ethics Violations in Ph.D. and Master's Theses/Dissertations".
